I just want to vent a little about my electric bill an how unfair the utility company is. I have paid my bill on time for my business every month, no complaints about any problems with my meter. In Feb. I receive a letter from them telling me that my meter was broke an that they had replaced it in Dec. also they had refigured my bill back for an entire year an on top of what I had already paid I still owed $253.40. Needless to say I was pissed,I called them an she tells me that they have the right to charge back up to 3 years if they want to an I could work out payments, by this time I was to upset an told her I did't need to work out anything because she wasn't getting it untill I paid it an hung up the phone. I have been looking for places to complain to an finally found a utility consumer group on the web, I wrote them Sat. an was very surprised that he called me today. I received a letter from the utility people Friday sayiny that my lights would be turned off tomorrow, I finally had to call them an say that I would pay $100 towards it, this lady was very nice an said she knew that they were being unfair an my lights would not be turned off. this is not over, I want every penny of that $253.40 back.I will continue to fight this an hope that the consumer group will be able to help, they wiill be calling them tomorrow.
